Why Tile?

I don’t know about you, but I love walking down the tile aisle at a home store, or into our showroom and seeing (okay, touching) all the cool tile that’s available. There’s so many applications – walls, floors, backsplashes, and outdoor to name a few!

Benefits of Tile

  • Water Resistant: Liquids won’t damage your tile, making it the perfect choice for kitchens, bathrooms and entryways.

  • Stain Resistant: most common spills can be cleaned up with water, no heavy chemicals needed.

  • Anti-Bacterial: Who knew? In today’s world this is great news knowing you’re safe from mold, mildew and airborne viruses.

  • Scratch Resistant: tile’s durability holds up to heavy foot traffic and maintains its look over the years.

  • Slip Resistant: Yep—some tile have a gripping or textured finish to allow for safety on pool decks and showers.

Are we loving tile even more now? Once you decide where your tile is going, select what size, shape and pattern to install. Check out some of our fav applications:

Wood Look Tile

In high-moisture areas, wood look tile is a great option where other flooring material may not hold up as well. Take the look to the next level with a herringbone pattern. This tile also delivers on the biophilic design trends by incorporating textures from nature into the built environment.

Decorative Tile

This is where your inner designer comes out! Choose from encaustics, mosaics, subway or hexagons…there’s a ton of options to pick from. Using deco tile is an affordable way to create high impact on a kitchen backsplash, a shower floor or a focal point with a fireplace feature wall.

If you’re up for some fresh ideas – checkout how staggered transition tiles are being used. This is a funky way to create dimension and playfulness in your home. You can change up the color or mix different shapes and sizes for a more dramatic design.

Exterior Tile

As we’ve spent more time at home, backyards have transformed into our personal oasis. Knowing the right tile to select for your outdoor space is key. Understanding what elements will be exposed to it, and what application will help you select tiles size, what texture, and grout joint thickness.
